George (Georgios) V. Moustakides is Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras. He received his Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens (1978), his M.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania (1980), and his Ph.D. from Princeton University (1983). He has held research positions at INRIA (France) and faculty positions at the University of Patras, along with visiting appointments at several universities in the United States and Europe. His research interests lie in the areas of statistical signal processing, detection and estimation theory, sequential decision making, and their applications in communications, information security, and statistical machine learning.
